Have you register for your Income Tax Reference number?

Hi,

The season for declaring tax is coming soon. According to the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia, the e-filing system will be opened from 1 March 2016. Taxpayers are allowed to access their tax return and submit the tax return from 1 March 2016 onward.

Who are required to register Income Tax File ?
  • Individual who has income which is liable to tax
  • Individual who has business income
  • Employee who is subject to Schedular Tax Deduction (STD)
  • Company which newly commences business
  • Individual/company who wishes to claim tax credit repayment for deduction against dividend income

1.Individual without business income
  • Identification Card (New Identification Card, Armed Forces, Police or Passport)
2.Individual with business income
  • Identification Card (New Identification Card, Armed Forces, Police or Passport)
  • Business Registration Certificate
3.Company
  • Form 9 & Form 49 (Companies Commission of Malaysia)
Do remember to apply for your e-filing pin number if you are first time to access your e-filing account. You could apply the e-filing pin number by visiting the nearest Inland Revenue Board by presenting your IC and your tax reference number.

Do not miss out your filing due date, as it will put you into troubles if you do.
